Shakhtar Donetsk CEO: “Boto to Roma? He wants to stay.”

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Head of Scouting, José Boto, has been heavily linked throughout the past few days with the Sporting Director vacancy at Roma.

Today, the CEO of the Ukrainian side, Sergey Palkin, took to his official Instagram account to reassure supporters that the Portuguese executive wants to remain at the club despite the interest from the Giallorossi.

“The Italian media is writing that Roma wants to hire our Head of Scouting,” he wrote.

”What they don’t know about, though, are how much the release clauses in his contract cost in order for him to leave.”

”José is happy and eager to continue working at Shakhtar Donetsk.”
