Former Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has been offered to Roma as a free agent.
Mustafi – who recently departed Levante after an unconvincing spell in La Liga – is still without a team.
According to Corriere dello Sport, his entourage proposed him to Roma who in turn have been searching for an additional defender as replacement of Evan Ndicka ahead of AFCON.
However, Roma promptly turned down Mustafi’s agents.
The capital club are not interested in the 31-year-old who has struggled with injuries over the last few years of his career.
Similarly, Roma rejected Jerome Boateng’s approach in recent weeks.
