Eldor Shomurodov, currently away on international duty with the Uzbekistan national team, had finally made a mark on Roma after not scoring since August: 1 goal and 1 assist in the match vs Venezia.
The 26-year-old attacker spoke to Corriere dello Sport and addressed his time in Italy and Roma’s recent lack of form:
“Italian football is much more difficult than I expected, but I am slowly adapting to it.”
He continued:
“I am sure soon we’ll see the true Roma again.”
“For a striker scoring is always very important: I hope to continue down this path.”
Shomurodov confirmed his dream of carrying Uzbekistan to the World Cup, and hopes to convince Mourinho to grant more playing time in the months to come.
