Shomurodov disappointed with team performance vs Venezia

Eldor Shomurodov put in a good performance against Venezia earlier today, scoring the opening goal for the Giallorossi and assisting Abraham on the second one.

After the loss, the attacker was interviewed by the club’s official channels.

“I scored my first league goal but we lost and that’s why I’m really sorry. I can’t be happy with the goal, given the result. We are disappointed, now the break is coming and we must make sure that we are ready to return.”

“We’ve also been unlucky: in every game we create a lot but we fail to score and close the match.”

On his partnership with Abraham:

“I felt good playing alongside him. Unfortunately, despite our two goals, we can’t be happy with the result.”

On fitting in with the rest of the team:

“I’m satisfied. My teammates are helping me a lot.”

“The season is long and we’ll try and do everything we can to get Champions League football.”
