Simone Inzaghi continues to claim Inter “deserved more” despite loss to Roma

Inter manager Simone Inzaghi was once again critical of the final outcome to Inter-Roma from a week ago which resulted in the Giallorossi 2-1 victory.

Following his side’s win at the Mapei stadium with Sassuolo earlier today, Inzaghi analyzed Inter’s recent performances singling out the “undeserved” loss to Roma.

“This time around we stepped on the pitch and fought hard unlike in previous games where we allowed the opponent back into the game,” he said in a post-match interview with InterTV. “Except for the match with Roma where we clearly deserved more.”

“Now we can face Barcelona with our heads held high as we’re coming off two brilliant wins,” he concluded, referring to Inter’s return leg with Xavi’s Barca in the Camp Nou scheduled for Wednesday night.
