It’s been a turbulent 48-hours for Inter following the sudden departure of manager Antonio Conte.
Just days after officially winning the Scudetto, the Italian quit the Nerazzurri yesterday after disagreeing with the club’s vision moving forward.
One day later, though, the Milanese side have secured their new manager: Lazio’s Simone Inzaghi.
Sky Sport reports that Inzaghi has decided to join Inter despite being just moments away from a signing a new contract with the Biancocelesti.
The 45 year-old held talks with Inter yesterday morning, though, no deal was agreed to. Hours later, he met with Lazio President Claudio Lotito and all signs pointed to the sides agreeing to an improved contract.
Undeterred, Inter renewed their attempts today and, reportedly, have done enough to convince Inzaghi to join the club as Conte’s replacement.
