Inter manager Simone Inzaghi sounded bitter over his side’s recent loss to Roma at San Siro on Saturday night. The Italian technician called the defeat “underserved” in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Nerazzurri’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.

“Roma? We know we’re coming off a difficult stretch,” Inzaghi told reporters on Monday. “I think we played a good game against Roma, unfortunately we conceded two goals that were completely avoidable. We allowed it to happen.”

“We deserved more from that game,” concluded the former Lazio coach.

Inzaghi was also asked about Inter’s decision to pursue Romelu Lukaku instead of Dybala in the summer window. “I’m not the one who always decides,” he replied. “We all shared the same opinion on bringing back Lukaku.”
