Sky Sport: Granit Xhaka tempted to accept Arsenal’s contract renewal offer

Ever since Arsenal rejected Roma’s first and only offer of €15 million for Granit Xhaka over a month ago, the two clubs failed to reach an agreement that was expected to take place by the end of July.

According to Sky Sport, the player and Arsenal have grown tired of waiting for the right offer to arrive from the Italian capital.

Now, the Gunners are reportedly ready to propose the 28-year-old midfielder a contract renewal with a salary superior to the one Xhaka might have obtained at Roma.

With his current contract set to expire in 2023, the player is tempted to accept the offer and continue his adventure in England.

Roma are now veering toward other options on the market as they believe the deal for the Swiss international is off.
