Leonardo Spinazzola will not be extending his stay in the Italian capital as he pursues talks with other clubs.
After five years at Roma, the veteran will move elsewhere with Antonio Conte’s Napoli side in pole position to land him in the coming days on a free transfer.
As reported by Sky Sport, there is no chance of the Italian signing a new contract with Roma despite his entourage’s attempts to convince the club otherwise. The Giallorossi ultimately decided against bringing Spinazzola back and prefer to acquire a younger player to replace him once his contract officially expires on June 30th.
With a reunion ruled out, Spinazzola’s representatives quickly opened talks with the Partenopei—the negotiations now at an advanced stage.
