Roma and Manchester United are continuing talks for Chris Smalling.
Sky Sport reports that the Giallorossi’s latest offer for the Englishman is very close to the Red Devils’ asking price for the defender: €20 million.
However, there is also a slight obstacle between Roma and Smalling as the defender has requested a four-year contract from the Italian side, who have so far only proposed a three-year deal.
The parties will continue negotiations because Smalling remains the principle objective for Roma and manager Paulo Fonseca, who specifically requested to the club that they bring the 30 year-old back to the Italian capital this summer.
