Despite having returned to his parent club, Manchester United, Chris Smalling has made it clear: he wants to return to Roma.
Sky Sport has reported that the defender wants a return to the Giallorossi and is awaiting a fresh signal from the club, whose sale to Dan Friedkin will be made official on Monday.
The Italian capital club will attempt to bring him back in red and yellow following Friedkin’s official arrival on the 17th of August.
Smalling made it clear throughout the season that his will was to remain at Roma, however, after months of negotiations the two clubs couldn’t find an agreement. The 30 year-old, though, may end up ultimately getting his wish as he now waits on Roma.
