Smalling & Kumbulla to start in a 4-2-3-1 formation vs Verona

After obtaining a last-minute draw at the Mapei Stadium, Roma look ahead toward their next league opponent in the form of Hellas Verona.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Jose Mourinho is likely to revert to a 4-2-3-1 formation given the absences of Roger Ibanez (knee injury) and Gianluca Mancini (suspension).

The Special One will have to rely on Chris Smalling and Marash Kumbulla from the start in a four-man defense.

Whereas Stephan El Shaarawy’s condition remains unclear ahead of Verona, Nicolo Zaniolo is bound to return to the starting eleven after serving a one-match ban following his red card against Genoa.
