Chris Smalling and Romelu Lukaku want to be at Daniele De Rossi’s disposal for the upcoming first leg of the Europa League semifinals with Bayer Leverkusen.

The two players had been recently ruled out of action due to injuries suffered in the last two weeks.

With Thursday’s match approaching, Smalling and Lukaku have increased the workload and continued to train individually at Trigoria despite having received a day from De Rossi in the aftermath of the 2-2 draw with Napoli.

According to Il Tempo, Lukaku is closer to full recovery than Smalling.

The Belgian striker is expected to feature from the start on Thursday night.
