Smalling, Mancini, and Ibañez train partially with the group ahead of Napoli showdown

Roma were back on the training pitch today following their victory yesterday in the Europa League over Cluj in Romania.

The Giallorossi landed back in the Italian capital late yesterday and slept at Trigoria before taking the pitch early this morning ahead of Sunday’s pivotal clash against Napoli.

Those who played in yesterday’s fixture were limited to gym work while the rest of the group trained on the pitch, which in included a short warm-up and various tactical drills. Central defenders Chris Smalling, Gianluca Mancini, and Roger Ibañez, all of whom missed yesterday’s match, took part in today’s training sessions, however, they were limited.

It remains to be seen if all three will be available for the match against the Partenopei but optimism is growing that they will be available for the clash.
