Roma are hoping to recover some of their injured players during this week’s international break.
The Giallorossi have been devastated by injuries throughout the campaign, but manager Paulo Fonseca is hopeful a few will return in the coming days.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the first two who will return to the fold are central defender Chris Smalling and midfielder Jordan Veretout. The Englishman has been suffering from a muscle injury throughout the past month.
Veretout, meanwhile, is nearing a return following the flexor injury he sustained during the victory against Fiorentina earlier this month.
The pair are likely to be available after the international break for the April 3rd clash against Sassuolo.
As for attacking duo Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Zaniolo, they will require more time. The Armenian is still dealing with a calf injury while Zaniolo continues his rehabilitation from ACL surgery.
