Roma manager Luciano Spalletti was interviewed today by Mediaset Premium talked about the upcoming match against Napoli:
Milik being out is a decisive factor?
For me, they have lost a good player, but they are very good as a club, history say so with guys like Lavezzi, Cavani, Higuain, Gabbiadini, Zapata. It’s clear that he is strong, however, from my point of view, it is dangerous to dwell on this and think this way because they haven’t lost any of their strength. Gabbiadini showed his ability through his play and goals. The team will play with the same confidence: it won’t be any easier.
Could Saturday be a “turning point” match?
It’s important, however, it can give a lot of enthusiasm to each fan base: these are two teams where it can do a lit for their enthusiasm, it is a delicate match, difficult…we must be ready.
When he told me I hoped he would change his mind, that was what I was working for. When there is a strong team, it also must have a strong team within the club including the sporting director, the general manager, the president and whoever handles the shirts. We lost a guard at Trigoria because he, like he said, lived for Roma.
