Departing from Fiuminico and on his way to Portugal with Roma ahead of their first leg match against Porto on Wednesday, Giallorossi manager Luciano Spalletti spoke to awaiting media members:
“We have begun, although, the statistics say that the preliminary round is difficult to pass for Italians, but we want to succeed. When these occasions face us we must grasp them. We have to be ready right away and show our mentality. We have a strong team, but clearly over the two legs we must have balance. Porto is a team created to do well in every competition.”
“Bruno Peres? I am very satisfied, we have bought a great player, like the others we already have. We must immediately understand that we are not omnipotent, we must work as a team because it’s the team that makes the results and the ranking.”
