Roma manager Luciano Spalletti spoke at Trigoria today ahead of tomorrow’s pivotal Derby clash against Lazio, here are his words:
The injuries?
The only ones unavailable are Gyomber and Vainqueur, who suffered an abductor strain this week and did not recover: he will begin to train in the middle of next week.
You feel a particular emotion before the Derby?
Yes, you definitely, the emotions are passed on to you for this match, for this team, and of course, this city. We also have other ambitions, other goals: we have to be good at knowing how to manage our emotions for to reach our goals.
The lack of fans?
I’ve read the proposed number of fans who will be there in the newspapers. I’ve seen the Curva Sud, I know it is a sacrifice for the fans to not be there in a Derby. I’d love to sit down with the authorities and the government and talk about the situation, to understand it better and see if we could work something out. We need the stadium full. This must be resolved.
Nainggolan said that Juventus and Napoli are not the strongest, do you agree?
I do not know, I have just arrived and must take account of things, if he says this then he is the first to admit he has done little, one speaks for himself and not for others. If he thinks this then you have to be accountable.
