Whispers from Spain suggest that the future of Paulo Dybala may be linked with a move to La Liga.

Despite professing his love for the Giallorossi colors, the Argentine attacker has only one year left on his contract and is yet to negotiate a new deal with Roma.

Dybala’s entourage have not pursued any negotiations with Roma so far and a release clause of €12 million will become active in July.

On the other hand, Roma, to strengthen the squad available to Daniele De Rossi, is carefully monitoring the situation of Atlético Madrid, who is trying to get rid of several players to renew their squad.

The last name on the Giallorossi wish-list is Rodrigo Riquelme, a promising young player from the Colchoneros.

According to Spanish news portal TodoFichajes, the Madrid-based club is asking for €25 million for Riquelme, but they do not rule out a possible swap deal involving Paulo Dybala.

Atletico’s interest in Paulo Dybala is longstanding and a swap deal may favor both sides after all.
