Spinazzola after Milan loss: “We didn’t stay compact like we did in the first half”.

Leonardo Spinazzola appeared on Roma TV following the Giallorossi’s horrendous performance in their 2-0 loss at the hands of Milan.

What has this Rome been missing?
We managed the first half well, we were very compact. We even had some chances to punish them. In the second half, we made a mistake and went down.

What’s the reason?
It is not a physical matter. We had many changes from the team on WednesdY. I think they found too many spaces and it was easier for them with the quality they have.

After a good first half, what happened?
We wanted to play like we did in the first half, take the space they allowed and play on the flanks, but in the second half we struggled. The manager didn’t tell us to change, they pressed differently and we weren’t able to do our play.

In my opinion, we got too stretched. We allowed too much space and our build-up play suffered.
