Roma defender Leonardo Spinazzola was interviewed by Roma TV after scoring the opening goal in the Giallorossi’s 2-0 victory over Fiorentina this evening.
Roma cruised past Beppe Iachini’s side, who were caught napping on Spinazzola’s goal in the first half, in a comfortable win in the Italian capital.
“We started off a bit poor, but then we reacted well. We could’ve scored 4-5 goals,” admitted the former Atalanta man.
“We’ve got to work on being more concrete in front of goal, but we held up well defensively this evening. We stayed compact and didn’t allow them to stretch us.”
“I’m satisfied, though – both for the win and for the goal.”
The victory marked the third in the past four matches for Paulo Fonseca’s men, who face Cluj in the Europa League on Thursday.
