Leonardo Spinazzola is nearing a long-awaited return to the pitch after injuring his Achilles tendon in July 2021.
According to Sky Sport, the Italian left-back is scheduled to meet with his surgeon Dr. Lempainen on January 15th and undergo a consultation with the club’s medical staff.
Once the player obtains the surgeon’s approval, he will be able to return to group training.
The first call-up for the player could take place on February 6th in the league game against Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico.
Thus the hope is for the Italian international to be at Mourinho’s full disposal before the end of the month.
