Wingback Leonardo Spinazzola still requires more time to recover from the injury that he suffered eight days ago against Atalanta.
Following medical examinations, the Italian defender was diagnosed with a first degree lesion in his left thigh muscle and will not be available for this weekend’s match against Sampdoria on Sunday.
Goalkeeper Antonio Mirante has also been diagnosed with the same injury, but in his right thigh.
The 37 year-old had to leave the pitch during the Giallorossi’s 3-2 victory over Cagliari in the Italian capital on Wednesday. He will also be unavailable for Sunday’s affair and will be replaced by Pau Lopez.
Both players will be reassessed over the coming days to get a clearer picture as to how long they’ll be out for.
