Spinazzola nearing return to group training

Leonardo Spinazzola’s hopes of returning at Mourinho’s disposal before the end of November did not pan out as the club’s medical staff strongly advised the player to respect the minimum 6 months of recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the 28-year-old is nearing the final phase of individual training. The player is reportedly scheduled to meet with his surgeon, Dr. Lasse Lempainen, in January.

This consultation will determine Spinazzola’s return to group training. If given the OK from his surgeon, the wing-back may likely be at Mourinho’s full disposal at the start of February.
