Roma left back Leonardo Spinazzola explained that his side never lost faith as they won in the dying minutes against Fiorentina.
The Italian found himself at the center of attention after scoring a wonderful goal early in the second half. Just minutes later, though, La Viola drew level after the Italian conceded a comical own-goal.
“It was important to score and open the game up a bit, we had difficulties in attack during the first half. But then the own-goal happened, I still don’t know how I managed that,” he joked to Roma TV.
“Mancini delivered a perfect pass on my goal, though. The manager and staff often tell me that I should look to make more runs inside the opponent’s area.”
“We never lost faith, we believed that we could win until the very end.”
