Spinazzola on his recovery: “I’m taking it step by step.”

Leonardo Spinazzola continues his return from injury

Leonardo Spinazzola was briefly interviewed upon his arrival from Finland where he met with his surgeon Dr. Lasse Lempainen for a final consultation regarding his recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The fullback said to Corriere dello Sport, “Everything went fine [during the consultation]. I’m very happy.”

When asked about whether he will return to the pitch before the end of the season, Spinazzola replied, “We’ll see, I’m taking step by step.”

“As of right now I don’t know when I’ll be able to train with my teammates. We’re taking it slowly.”

He concluded, “I want to thank everyone who’s been close to me but it’s not over yet. One chapter is closed, and another opens.”
