Leonardo Spinazzola sounded optimistic following last night’s 1-1 draw with Feyenoord at the De Kuip Arena in Rotterdam.
The Roma fullback discussed the team’s resilient performance and spoke with anticipation about the upcoming return leg in Rome.
“It was a tough, hard-fought match,” Spinazzola told Roma TV at full-time.
“We played it head-on, in the first half we could have capitalized on some of the chances we’d created,” he added.
“We knew we had to suffer, and we did so in the second half, where we were compact and concentrated and we brought home a draw and we will play to advance to the next round in Rome.”
