Spinazzola to be evaluated in the coming days after muscle injury suffered against Genoa

Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola was forced to leave the pitch after 13 minutes this afternoon during the Giallorossi’s 3-1 win against Genoa.

The Italian was replaced by Bruno Peres after having suffered what appeared to be a muscle injury in his thigh.

Roma’s medical staff will evaluate Spinazzola’s condition over the coming days, but there is a strong possibility that he will remain in the Italian capital and not join-up with Italian national team boss Roberto Mancini and the rest of his Gli Azzurri teammates.

It remains to be seen how long the former Atalanta man, who leads the Giallorossi in minutes played, will be out for — however, the club does not believe the injury is serious.
