Spinazzola to increase workload to return at Mourinho’s disposal

Roma defender Leonardo Spinazzola has entered the final stage of recovery following his consultation with Dr. Lasse Lempainen in Finland.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, there is growing optimism following the fullback’s trip to Finland.

Roma are hoping to integrate him soon with the rest of the team for a late season debut after missing nine months of action due to a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Di Marzio reports that Spinazzola will now increase the workload in training with the objective of being at Mourinho’s disposal before the end of the month.

From now on it will be up to the club’s medical staff to determine when the fullback will be ready for his first call-up.
