Leonardo Spinazzola is seeing the light at the end of a long and twisted tunnel.
The fullback, after nine months since the injury he sustained in Euro 2020, is expected to receive his first call-up for Roma-Salernitana, reports Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport.
The player was seen training with the group in yesterday’s session at Trigoria. Despite not taking part in drills that included touching the ball, the 29-year-old will be called up for tomorrow evening’s entertainment.
Roma want to integrate Spinazzola with the rest of the team as soon as possible.
Thus, even though the player is unlikely to make an appearance off the bench, this is considered a first step in the right direction after eight months of intense recovery following a ruptured Achilles tendon.
