Spinazzola willing to lower wage demands to stay at Roma

Leonardo Spinazzola is reportedly keen on keeping a door open for the possibility for renewing his deal with the Giallorossi.

The Roma fullback has been prominently linked with an exit from the capital club in recent months.

Despite rumors of clubs targeting him in January – a few months away from the expiry of his contract – Spinazzola failed to accept any of the received proposals.

As a result, the Italian defender is likely to become a free agent at the end of the season unless Roma decide to offer him a new contract.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, that is still a possibility as long as Daniele De Rossi is the team’s head coach.

The pair are said to have an excellent relationship and if De Rossi were to be confirmed as Roma’s long-term manager at the end of the season, Spinazzola may be willing to stay, and lowering his wage demands to facilitate a new deal with the capital club.
