Roma’s neverending injury crisis continued yesterday with Leonardo Spinazzola becoming the latest victim.
The Italian international suffered a strained left quadriceps muscle during the concluding portion of the Giallorossi’s final training session before their clash versus Hellas Verona.
As a result, Spinazzola did not fly to Veneto with the rest of his teammates for Monday evening’s showdown after the club’s medical staff determined he’ll need at least 2-3 weeks of rest.
As a result, he’ll miss Monday’s clash in addition to league fixtures against Lazio, Sassuolo, Torino. He’ll also be unavailable for Thursday’s penultimate Europa League group stage match against Ludogorets—a must-win match for the Giallorossi.
It means Spinazzola won’t feature until the new year, though, he’ll be available for capital club’s World Cup break training retreat in Japan—which will take place from November 22nd until mid-December.
It marked the fourteenth injury suffered by a member of the Giallorossi’s first team so far this season.
