Spinazzola’s agent gives cryptic interview

Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola has caught the attention of clubs throughout Europe thanks to great performances at Euro 2020.

The Italian international has been one of the Azzurri’s most consistent players of the competition, leading to interest from the likes of Real Madrid and PSG.

Discussing his client’s situation, Davide Lippi, Spinazzola’s agent, spoke cryptically when asked about the former Juve man’s club future.

“I’m very happy for Leo, he’s reaping the benefits of all his hard work,” he stated to Tuttomercatoweb.

“I’ve been saying for years that he’s a great player, and I’m thrilled that he’s showing it. He’s a champion and having an out-of-this-world Euro. Perhaps there’s some who are still kicking themselves.”

“Who am I referring to? He was in some great teams and came close to joining others (Inter). But Leo has to concentrate on forging his own path.”

Lippi concluded the interview in opaque fashion, nonchalantly casting doubt over the fullback’s future in the Italian capital.

“Will Mourinho be happy with his Euro 2020 performances? If he’s going to be Spinazzola’s coach, then of course he will.”
