The race for the soon-to-be free agent Mile Svilar has picked up over these last few hours, with reports from Portugual claiming that city rivals Sporting have also shown interest in the 22-year-old Serbian goal-keeper.
Benfica are afraid of letting Svilar join Sporting and are eager to find an agreement with Roma over the coming days, reports sports outlet A Bola.
The Giallorossi have reportedly been working on signing Svilar in free agency for the past three months.
GM Tiago Pinto and boss Jose Mourinho are very keen on him as a second-choice goal-keeper to Rui Patricio.
