Spurs defender Eric Dier is being linked with a January move to Roma.
The capital club are reportedly worried about the state of their defense given Marash Kumbulla’s long-term injury and Chris Smalling’s recent unavailability caused by a persisting chronic tendon issue.
As a result, calciomercato.com reports that the Giallorossi may decide to target an additional defender in January.
The same news portal claims Eric Dier could be a concrete objective for Jose Mourinho’s side – Dier’s contract with Spurs expires next year and the player has already expressed his concern over his limited playing time under new Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou.
Mourinho knows Dier very well and the coverage of the player’s large salary could be partly facilitated by the Italian growth decree.
