Tottenham Hotspurs have identified Roma attacker Nicolò Zaniolo as the ideal reinforcement for Antonio Conte.
The capital club, however, haven’t shown any inclination to lower their initial demands for the 22-year-old.
La Repubblica reports that Roma GM Tiago Pinto met with Spurs director Fabio Paratici a few days ago.
In this meeting, Paratici advanced Tottenham’s first offer worth €55 million including a counterpart of Roma’s choice: Tanganga or Ndombele, whom Spurs value at €15 million.
The Italian newspaper reports that Roma did not consider this offer in the first place. Mourinho himself reiterated his willingness to continue working with Zaniolo.
Similarly, the player is not pushing for an exit from the capital. For the time being, Zaniolo considers himself an integral part of the Giallorossi and wants to prove himself after a disappointing return from injury last season.
