Tanguy Ndombele has recently been proposed to the Giallorossi in an apparent attempt on Tottenham’s part to pursue Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo.
According to La Repubblica, Spurs’ interest in Zaniolo peaked recently when the English giants made a proposal which included an additional counterpart.
Spurs director Fabio Paratici was ready to include Ndombele in an eventual deal for the talented 22-year-old.
The Frenchman recently concluded his loan spell at Lyon and returned to London, awaiting a new destination.
This time around, however, Roma rejected Spurs’ proposal as the club are no longer interested in acquiring the midfielder.
The Giallorossi are close to acquiring Georginio Wijnaldum and also have their eyes on Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi.
