RomaPress – Following the arrest of 5 Star Movement’s Marcello De Vito, who was taken into custody this morning and charged with bribery, Deputy Prosecutor Paolo Ielo appeared at a press conference at the Public Prosecutor’s Office to provide details on the arrest of De Vito. These are his words:

“The president of the capital assembly was arrested for three different charges, including the continuation of his connection with Luca Parnasi. The defendant is linked to the Roman real estate developer, who had promised him a payment of 95,000 euros, not only for the Stadio della Roma but also for Fiera di Roma. Roma have nothing to do with this story so there is therefore no obstacle to the construction of the stadium and the prosecutor will not ask for this to be stopped”.
