Milan continue their negative streak with yet another emphatic loss to Sassuolo. Stefano Pioli’s men end up defeated 5-2 at San Siro.
After the final whistle, Pioli indicated the match against Roma as the catalyst in Milan’s recent losses.
“We probably won’t be able to win the Scudetto,” he told DAZN after the game. “I think this time around our Scudetto will be to reach the Champions League.”
“We have been unable to react ever since Roma’s equalizer,” he added. “We’re not able to deliver the same performances as before from a tactical and mental standpoint.”
“Now it seems like we get slapped and instead of reacting accordingly, we succumb to the opponent’s pressure.”
