Milan manager Stefano Pioli reiterated his confidence ahead of the all-important first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals with Roma.

In an interview with Milan TV, Pioli was asked whether he and his team were ready to face Daniele De Rossi’s side.

“We have absolutely not rewatched or revisited the two previous league matches when Mourinho was there,” said Pioli.

“De Rossi has changed the players’ positions on the pitch, he has changed the interpretation of how the team attacks and how it defends,” he added.

“But we know them, we know the players individually and we know De Rossi’s tactics, we are prepared to face them.”

“At this point in the competition if you want to get to the bottom of it you have to do something extraordinary, something special, and play to a very high standard, play to win at all times.”
