Milan’s late collapse allowed Roma back into the game, earning them a precious point away from home.
The Rossoneri manager, Stefano Pioli, was not pleased with his team’s attitude in the final minutes, and claimed Milan deserved to win for the majority of the match.
“It’s a shame not to have won a game we played so well in. It’s only natural – games are usually over at 95th minute and if you know your opponents are strong on set pieces, you must pay more attention,” he told DAZN after the final whistle.
“We are disappointed, we deserved to win and yet we messed it up,” he added.
“Dybala’s ability to constantly look for a foul paid off in the end,” Pioli continued. “We gave them hope and allowed them back into the game. It’s a shame, but we’ll have to find ways to improve.”
