Stefano Sorrentino advises ex-Palermo teammate Paulo Dybala to join Roma

Ex-Palermo and Chievo Verona shot-stopper Stefano Sorrentino publicly advised former teammate Paulo Dybala to join Roma.

The 43 year-old played alongside the Argentine for two seasons during their time together with the Rosanero and believe Roma’s environment could offer him a bit more.

“I’d advise Dybala to remain in Italy because it’s still one of the best leagues in the world and he can be an added value,” he told TMW Radio.

“He can play in several roles, though, it depends on the team and how they want to play. Though, from an environmental point of view, Roma extremely passionate. Also, the Giallorossi must be pushing hard to acquire him if Totti is publicly discussing it.”

Finally, “Roma’s environment is similar to Palermo’s and could give Dybala something a bit more. On one hand they’ve got an interesting project but on other they won’t be playing in the Champions League.”

“Nonetheless, Roma have an important future ahead of them with Mourinho.”

The free agent attacker is expected to decide on his club future in the coming weeks with both Inter and Roma the likeliest destinations.
