Stephan El Shaarawy is set to depart Trigoria in the coming hours.
The Roma winger earned a last minute call-up from Italy head coach Luciano Spalletti as a result of the events that caused Nicolo Zaniolo and Sandro Tonali quit the national team’s training camp in Coverciano.
Thus, in addition to Politano and Ricci, El Shaarawy is set to make his return to the national team ahead of the upcoming EURO qualifiers with Malta and England.
El Shaarawy and Spalletti had already worked together at Roma in 2016/17.
