Roma attacker Stephan E Shaarawy put in a great shift earlier tonight after starting in Roma’s 2-1 win over Hellas Verona.

In his post-match with Dazn, Stephan El Shaarawy addressed Mourinho’s exit and Daniele De Rossi’s impact.

”There is disappointment on the part of the public for the period we are going through and for the sacking of Mourinho.”

“It was important to start again united but we always have been. We have always worked and stepped on the pitch for the good of Roma.”

“It is a difficult time but all together we have to start again because we want the good of Roma. Today was a big victory, we are happy.”

“Mourinho ended up paying for our mistakes but the responsibilities are everyone’s,” he added.

“De Rossi? He’s amazing, a great leader on and off the pitch. He’s just as determined as a coach as he was as a player.”
