Stephan El Shaarawy determined to get back on Roma’s scoresheet

Stephan El Shaarawy is looking to bounce back on Thursday night against Servette after a disappointing start to the season.

The Italian winger is expected to feature in Mourinho’s line-up on Thursday – this will be his fifth start in nine games this season, and yet El Shaarawy remains scoreless and with zero assists to his name.

According to Corriere dello Sport, El Shaarawy’s difficult situation is not discouraging Mourinho from relying on him.

Last year, El Shaarawy got off to an equally turbulent start and was only able to turn it on in the second half, scoring 8 goals from January onwards.

El Shaarawy is currently closing in on Daniele De Rossi in Roma’s all-time scoring list.
