Roma attacker Stephan El Shaarawy shared his views on his own campaign for 23/24 in an interview with Roma TV.

After the Giallorossi’s 1-0 win over Genoa in the penultimate match of the season and the final game at the Stadio Olimpico for this year, El Shaarawy discussed the performance and his own progress in his sixth year in the Italian capital.

“A very important victory for 6th place. Then it was our duty to say goodbye to this magnificent audience this year and also in previous years, they have never abandoned us and this victory is for them too.”

“We are a strong group, in decisive moments we defended each others. Today this result was needed to close the season at home on a positive note. We are satisfied with this victory.”

“A verdict on my own season? This year, in terms of continuity of performance and playing time, it was greater than in previous years, however, in terms of execution, something was missing. In my career it had happened a few times to play a lot but score little, but in terms of performances I think I did well. I’ve always given my best and I’m happy about that.”
