Roma attacker Stephan El Shaarawy praised his side’s performance in tonight’s 3-1 win over Udinese at Stadio Olimpico.

The Italian forward came off the bench and secured the three points for Roma by scoring a beautifully curled goal in the final minutes of the match.

In his post-match interview with Roma TV, El Shaarawy said, “On a personal level it was important for me to score tonight, it helps me to be more confident and convinced of what I do on the pitch.”

“Today it was an important goal to close the game and I am very happy with how I’m doing right now. It was important to win to get closer to the Champions League zone.”

“We didn’t make a mistake in the match, even if we could have closed it, we had a great reaction in the second half. We are satisfied.”

“The schedule? The games will be difficult as they all are, especially the ones on Thursday in terms of qualification: we should not only win but also try to score as many goals as possible to finish first in the Europa League group and avoid two matches in February which would be important for us.”
