Roma forward Stephan El Shaarawy regretted his side’s numerous missed chances in Roma’s 1-0 win over Cremonese on Monday night. The player addressed the areas for improvement in a post-match interview with DAZN.
“In the first half – just like with Salernitana – we were unable to find a way to score but we created a lot, we could have gotten more goals,” he said.
“The important thing was to get the 3 points, 6 points in two games is a good start and we’re satisfied with that.”
“The important thing was to try to create as much as possible and win. We were good at not conceding a goal.”
On Wijnaldum, El Shaarawy added, “We’ll stay close to him. We saw him leave the pitch in training in tears and we were really sorry, he had a great desire to play and come back here at the Olimpico after his presentation with Shakhtar.”
“It is a great loss for us, and we’ll wait for him, and Zaniolo too.”
