The Giallorossi goal-scorer of the night, Stephan El Shaarawy, exited the game with a painful grimace on his face.
First tests revealed a problem to his hip flexor muscle.
According to Sky Sport, the club fear El Shaarawy may be done for the season as the injury could keep him sidelined for over a month.
Further tests will be carried out tomorrow but the medical staff are not optimistic.
