Roma attacker Stephan El Shaarawy once again emphasized his availability to Roma’s cause and Mourinho’s needs and tactical instructions in his press conference appearance ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League match with Ludogorets at the Stadio Olimpico.
“My recent milestone of 50 goals with Roma is not a set objective. It’s a motivation for me to always give more for the team,” the Italian winger told reporters at Trigoria. “Numbers matter, but only to an extent. We always want to do more for the cause.”
“My position on the pitch has changed over the last year. I’ve always given my full availability and adapted to the coach’s needs,” he added.
“Last year I also played wide on the left in the midfield, and it’s obvious that I’m less effective there because I’m further away from goal, but what matters is the attitude. I always try to give my best and contribute to the good of the team.”
“The mentality that any player must have is this – to help the team and focus on the game. If we all do this, then the results will come.”
